My family and I are originally from India, but I spent most of my life in Southern California after we moved here. My degree is in Human Biology, which I discovered after shadowing physicians at the University of California, Irvine, Medical Center. Originally, I entered school undeclared, because I enjoy so many subjects! I also have a genuine love for biology and all its components, including organic chemistry, as well as a love for math. I think both of these subjects apply to the world much more than students give them credit for, which is why many students struggle with math and science. My best tutoring subjects are biology and chemistry (general and organic), which I have tutored through my school's Academic Resource Center. In addition, I've noticed that many students have a tendency to sit in class and think they have absorbed the material without working on it, so when they have to take a test on a subject, they realize too late that they have not fully grasped the material. When I work with a student as a tutor, I try to understand their individual style of communicating, and work with them so they understand the material completely.
