I earned my BS in Psychology at Washington State University, and now I am a master's student working in the psychology program at California State University in San Marcos. My focus of study is cognitive psychology. I intend to go on and earn my doctoral degree in psychology, as well. During my time as an undergrad and grad student, I have had the opportunity to serve as a Teaching Assistant for a number of psychology classes, such as Intro to Psychology, Biopsychology, Cognitive Psychology, and Statistics and Research Methods. This enabled me to work with students in both individual and group study situations, conducting review sessions prior to exams. Obviously, my passion is continuing to increase my understanding of psychology. I also really enjoy it when I can help my fellow students to be successful in their education. I am available to tutor students in a number of subjects in addition to psychology, such as various math classes, ELA classes, and standardized test prep. I like to keep tutoring sessions interesting, so my students remain engaged. Part of this, I do by breaking down complex concepts into their smaller elements. I also believe in teaching each student in the method that they learn best with. I also like to read, play soccer, and play video games.
