I enjoy sharing my love of mathematics and science with those who can benefit from my expertise and ability to communicate information. I have, in fact, tutored students ranging from elementary school age to post-secondary school age, and I've proven that I can connect with people of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels.The last student I tutored earned a B+ grade at SDSU in general chemistry, even though the student had absolutely no previous experience in chemistry. I was able to help this student accomplish such a feat because of my adaptable teaching style. My style of tutoring begins with my seeking to figure out what exactly the student has trouble grasping, and then it is my job to find a way to provide an explanation that the student can understand and internalize. I'm willing to try as many different ways as I must, using various teaching methodologies, in order to ensure that the student gains the understanding needed. Patience is necessary, and I have the required patience and determination needed to tutor effectively.While tutoring is a passion and is something I am good at, I also have a full-time job. Specifically, I'm employed at a medical device biotech firm in the capacity of an R&D chemist supervisor.In my spare time, I enjoy tennis, snowboarding, hiking, and biking.
